UAV Appearing at the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal to Implement Powerful Law Enforcement Through 3D Cruise

Along with the improvement of social informatization, the national right and interest maintenance, marine resources development and maritime surveillance tasks such as maritime security require the support by spatial information. Common satellite and aerial remote sensing methods have been playing an important role in marine environment surveillance. However, they cannot meet the requirements for dynamic emergency monitoring requiring high resolution and limited time. Intelligent UAV system shows unique advantages in the sky, and it is gradually used for more maritime tasks to escort the development of territorial waters.

In August 2018, Changzhou Maritime Safety Administration carried out regional patrol inspection on Changzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal with AOSSCI X-Swift system. As this complex area, Changzhou Maritime Safety Administration employed more advanced and efficient AOSSCI UAV rather than traditional artificial river inspection mode for patrol inspection, thus comprehensively guaranteeing the successful proceeding of law enforcement and supervision activities.

An AOSSCI river inspection UAV is rapidly launched vertically within 10 seconds. The UAV cruise route for law enforcement includes the embankments within 5 kilometers of Changzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal. Facing the twists and turns of the river shoreline, AOSSCI X-Swift UAV system shows a fast flight speed and wide visual range which make it the eye of "3D cruise" in the sky.

All-around monitoring in air & space - Remote real-time accurate positioning

Not only the real-time image of wireless transmission but also the embankment conditions on both sides within the range of canal channel are shown on the screen of X-GCS. Based on the timeliness requirements for canal supervision, the X-series UAV system will carry out real-time positioning and real-time feedback, enabling law enforcement personnel to realize efficient monitoring of designated territorial waters without leaving the 3D Monitoring Center, and providing air support for dynamic maritime supervision.

Investigation and punishment of illegal behaviors – Target locking and automatic tracking

X-Swift UAV system is equipped with visible light electro-optical pod that can achieve supervision on behaviors such as ship overload, illegal transferring operation and illegal sewage discharge, thus preventing river pollution, and recording and saving the evidence. Meanwhile, it has solved the disadvantages of the inability for man to cross the complex environment, and can carry out automatic target locking and tracking once questionable ship is found, which greatly improves the capability of territorial waters monitoring and makes illegal behaviors exposed.

Maritime emergency lifesaving - Fast response and super-long time in the air

In case of an emergency, the air force can arrive at the scene immediately. Relying on its stable flight performance and super-long time in the air, X-Swift UAV system can realize short-term and large-scale search to greatly improve the rescue efficiency in prime time. The UAV system's ability to effectively identify the falling target at an altitude of 200 meters is dozens of times greater than the visual range of traditional ships.
