AOSSCI UAV leads the new revolution of marine environment monitoring

    Nowadays, marine environmental pollution is getting worse and worse. The research and development of marine monitoring technology is particularly important. As early as in the 12th Five-Year Plan, the state clearly put forward "Digital Ocean Construction", that is, to build, manage the marine information platform and promote the sustainable development of marine resources through three-dimensional and sustained marine environmental monitoring. However, the traditional marine environmental monitoring methods, such as patrol ships, conventional satellites and aerial remote sensing, are difficult to meet the current needs of emergency monitoring.

    UAV emerged under this circumstance. Intelligent monitoring can reduce errors in data to a certain extent and improve the cruising efficiency. AOSSCI X-Swift UAV can collect evidence for violations and transmit data to the command center in real-time. It can also automatically track equipment, perform tasks such as marine surveillance, ship search, personnel positioning, ocean patrol, and complete 1:500 to 1:2000 precision mapping and three-dimensional model by carrying orthographic camera and oblique camera.

Intelligent marine patrol ensures accurate positioning and tracking

   In June 2019, AOSSCI participated in the marine patrol of Wenzhou Maritime Safety Administration of Zhejiang Province. The X-Swift UAV, with its high efficiency and intelligence, completed the patrol mission successfully, promoting the smooth progress of law enforcement and supervision operations in an all-round way.

    Dongtou District, formerly known as Zhongjie District, belongs to Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, and is one of the four main urban areas of Wenzhou City. The area is composed of 103 islands and 259 reefs. The topography is dominated by eroded hills and landforms. The climate belongs to tropical oceanic climate, and is warm and humid, often accompanied by ocean breezes of grade 4-5. Therefore, patrol conditions are very complicated.

    X-Swift can take off vertically from a narrow space and perform the mission immediately after reaching the target ocean area. During the flight, two cargo ships heading to the target ocean area enter the monitoring scope.

    Through the electro-optical pod carried by X-Swift, the staff monitor the two ships in real-time, and find no overloading, illegal barge operations, illegal sewage discharge and other violations.

    In addition to being able to take off and land on mobile decks, X-Swift can integrate reconnaissance, search, locking and tracking and operate in strong wind, high salinity and high humidity.
