AOSSCI X-Swift UAV was delivered to Malaysia customer

In August 2019, AOSSCI Technology successfully delivered X-Swift UAV to Malaysia customer, providing advanced equipment and technical support for forestry mapping in Malaysia.

Malaysia is the world's second largest producer of palm oil, with a total planting area of more than 5 million hectares, accounting for more than half of the country's cultivated land, and is a pillar industry of Malaysian agriculture.

The increasing area of palm forests has promoted Malaysia's national economy, but also increased the difficulty of traditional mapping. Under this background, more efficient, safer and more intelligent UAV mapping emerged.

The customer is a professional mapping service company in Malaysia, with many secondary agents all over Malaysia and self-developed multi-rotor UAVs. It has very strict requirements for UAV performance and has tried many multi-rotor and well-known fixed-wing manufacturers in Europe before, but is not satisfied with their performance. 

In the first half of this year, the customer arrived at AOSSCI for visit, and was convinced by the professional research team, rich industry experience and excellent business level of AOSSCI, and quickly reached procurement agreement.

The first delivery of the X-Swift UAV to Malaysia marked the beginning of cooperation between the two sides. In the second half of the year, AOSSCI will also deliver batches of X-Swift UAV and X-Chimera UAV to Malaysia. 

The X-Swift is an electric VTOL fixed-wing UAV, which combines the advantages of multi-rotor and fixed-wing. 

Compared with multi-rotor UAVs, X-Swift UAV has the advantages of long endurance (120min-150min), large mission radius (40km), strong environmental adaptability (service ceiling up to 4500m), and fast speed (economic cruise speed 72km/h).

1. Flexible take-off and landing. It can take off quickly in a narrow space without a runway.

2. Long endurance. It can support continuous work for more than 2 hours.

3. One-key control. It has highly intelligent one-key flight management, and can complete the real-time transmission of flight parameters, route planning and flight instructions.

The whole system operates quickly and maintains conveniently. It not only improves the efficiency of palm mapping by 12 times, but also greatly reduces the cost of operation.

According to customer calculations, with our X-Swift UAV, the operating cost per hectare will decrease from 4.38 to 2.88 MYR. In addition, the customer will enter the oil patrol market with the excellent performance of our new X-Chimera UAV.
